A simple hello can change someone’s whole day.
That’s the idea behind a summer initiative from High River FCSS inviting residents to greet the people they pass — on the pathway, at the market, in the checkout line.
Community connectedness is one of the strongest protective factors for mental wellness. Small, everyday interactions add up: they reduce isolation, build belonging, and make our town feel like home for newcomers and longtime residents alike.
This summer, challenge yourself: say hello to three people a day. Pick up a “How do you say hello?” card at Town Hall or the FCSS office and share yours with the hashtag #HelloHighRiver.
