This year marks 60 years of Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) in Alberta — six decades of locally-driven preventive social services.
High River’s FCSS has been part of that story from the early years, supporting programs like:
- Wellness Corner and mental wellness resources
- Youth programs and summer day camps
- Cycling Without Age
- Community grants and the Community Vitality Fund
- Partnership with the Greater Foothills Family Resource Network
FCSS programs are funded through a provincial–municipal cost-sharing model that keeps decision-making local. Thank you to the volunteers, board members and staff who have built six decades of community care.
