Extreme Heat Relief: Cooling Stations

With long stretches of extreme heat in the forecast, the Town is activating cooling stations during heat warnings.

Cooling station locations (during posted hours):

• Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex — lobby and aquatics viewing area
• High River Municipal Library
• Town Hall foyer, 309B Macleod Trail S.W.

During extreme heat:

• Drink water before you feel thirsty
• Check on neighbours who live alone, especially older adults
• Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle
• Plan outdoor work and exercise for early morning or evening

Heat warnings are issued by Environment and Climate Change Canada and shared on the Town’s emergency page.
